Assoc Prof Christian Maltecca
Christian Maltecca is an Associate Professor in Quantitative Genetics and Breeding at the animal science department at North Carolina State University (NCSU). He is also a faculty of the Genetics program at the same institution. He received is bachelor degree at the Universitá degli Studi di Milano, a Ph.D. in Animal Science from the same institution and a Ph.D. in Dairy Science from the University of Wisconsin Madison. His research focuses on the genetic improvement of economically relevant traits in livestock. His main interests are in the area breeding, genomic prediction, and QTL mapping of functional traits in dairy and swine.
